Earlier this week, a Georgia Tech student was robbed by four masked men while he his was in his dormitory. At least one of the men had a gun during the attack.

The university quickly sent a message out to warn students about the incident and to keep an eye out on suspicious activity. In Georgia it is a crime if a person carries a handgun into a dorm.

The message gave out numerous ways that a person could protect oneself. For example walking with a friend and being alert to your surroundings at all times.
