Delta Air Lines to sell two Atlanta facilities

June 9th, 2011

Delta Air Lines has announced that they will be selling two facilities in Atlanta. This decision comes for two reasons: to cut costs for the company and to keep the operations centered in one area.

They will selling Atlanta Reliability Center sometime this summer. They will be also be selling the building that was used as the Delta Technology Building because the program folded two years ago. The Atlanta-based Delta, will also be selling the former headquarters of a subsidiary, Comair.

This includes a building in Cincinnati and one in Minneapolis-St. Paul. After Delta acquired Northwest Airlines, which was based out of Minnesota, they have multiple operations set up there. In order to consolidate, they also will be moving their flight attendant training center and pilot training center from Minnesota to Atlanta.
