Miss America visited the Metro-Atlanta area on Thursday in order to celebrate the local Rite Aid.
Teresa Scanlan left her visit to the Publix in Alpharetta and went straight to the Rite AidĀ between 10 a.m. and noon yesterday. She joined in order to celebrate the money that Rite Aid customers raised for the Children’s Miracle Network. They raised nearly $50 million.
The event was free and open to the public. Prizes were raffled and given away and Scanlan signed autographs and posed for pictures. The Children’s Miracle Network raises awareness and money for 170 children’s hospitals across the continent.
